WHAT IS WAITTS LAKE LIKE?
The camp offers close proximity to the lake, a mountain-trail for hiking, a field for outdoor activities, a waterslide, and a gymnasium with a gaming loft for ping-pong, foosball, and boardgames. The campus also includes a clean dormitory and cabins, commercial kitchen and dining room, and a stage for multi-purpose use. All of these amenities will be used to ensure camp is a moment to remember!
WHAT DO WE TALK ABOUT?
Each year, we prayerfully consider what God is speaking to the students. Both the Kid’s and Youth camps build a theme to help students remember the lessons, experiences, and take-aways after camp and into their daily lives.
WHY GO TO A SUMMER CAMP?
We understand that having one more thing on your schedule can feel overwhelming but hear us out: it’s worth it! There are countless testimonies of God using the time at camp for breakthrough in the lives of students and leaders alike. We believe God wants to do something in and through each student and we want to encourage them in the pursuit of God, who loves them deeply.
WHO PUTS THE CAMP ON?
A team of leaders formed by the Northeast District of Open Bible Churches comes together to put on the Summer Camp; consisting of the Next Gen Team Members, their Pastors, and dedicated volunteers who help with the various roles needed at camp. All adults on campus are qualified for their respective roles and adhere to the Camp Leader’s Code of Conduct.
